HANGING TOO GOOD.

SUMERSET, KY., THE SCENE OF A BRUTAL MURDER.

A Negro Invites His Victim to Drink, and Then Kills Him--Arrested for Forgery.

SOMERSET, KY., May 2.--A brutal murder was committed at Whiteley Station last night. A negro, whose name is not known, walked into a room where three white men were seated, set down a bottle of whisky, invited all to drink, drew his pistol and said to one of the white men named John Riley Ramsey: "You have talken about me too much, and I am going to kill you. So prepare to die." He then shot his victim through the heart, killing him instantly. He then threatened the other two men, who were unarmed, and made his escape. An inquest was held by 'Squire Ward.
