SURRENDERED.
Elisha Sloan, who is indicted in our Circuit Court for the murder of Silas Isaacs, in 1876, and who has since been a fugitive from justice, came into town [Mt. Vernon] Monday and surrendered himself to the Jailer. He was committed to jail and will have his trial at the September Term of Court. [1]

On Thursday morning the Court was engaged in the trial of the Commonwealth vs. Elisha Sloan for the murder of Silas Isaacs. [4]

Only two of the seven murder cases on the docket were tried. One of them was the case against Elijah Sloan for the murder of Silas Isaacs. Sloan was acquitted. [6]
